Downing to Replace Loomis at Wyoming Mining Association

(Wyoming Business Report, March 3) – The Wyoming Mining Association has announced who will replace Executive Director Marion Loomis, who is retiring in April after leading the association since 1991.
Jonathan Downing is stepping into Loomis’ shoes, leaving his post as CEO of the Wyoming Contractors Association, where he was CEO since 2004.. Downing holds both a B.S. in finance and an MBA from the University of Wyoming.

Stepping in for Downing at the Wyoming Contractors Association is his former Assistant Executive Director, Katie Legerski. Legerski has been with the Wyoming Contractors Association for seven years, and will be the association’s fifth executive director in its 82-year history as well as its first female executive director. The Wyoming Contractors Association is a trade association whose members include more than 225 general contractors and suppliers

While Downing was also executive director at the Wyoming Contractors Association’s McMurry Training Center, management of the center will go to the new  business manager, John Walsh. Walsh was the Wyoming territory manager for Honnen Equipment Company, and was with that company since December of 2014. Walsh I s a member of the Wyoming Workforce Council, a past president/associate board member of the Wyoming Contractors Association and and alumnus of Leadership Wyoming.
